19 March- WRAD (World Rocks Against Dementia)
A worldwide event raising the awareness of dementia. In 2016 it was celebrated in 16 countries and adopted by Alzheimer's Disease International.
7 April- World Health Day
Every year one health topic is identified to focus on action all over the world.
15 June- World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)
Commemorated each year on 15 June to highlight the often silent suffering of the elder generation.
16 June- AzATT Anniversary/Awareness Week
16 June is the anniversary date since establishment the Alzheimer's Association of Trinidad and Tobago. This is followed by an awareness week of activities hosted by the association.
21 September- World Alzheimer's Day
World Alzheimer's day is on 21 September each year. The date marks the pinnacle of the month. It was launched in 1994.
September- World Alzheimer's Month
World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign every September. It enable national and local Alzheimer associations worldwide to extend the reach of their awareness programmes over a longer period of time. to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. World Alzheimer's Month was launched in September 2012.
September- Caribbean Wellness Day
Caribbean Wellness Day is observed every year on the second Saturday of September. This annual event which provides an opportunity to increase the awareness of the non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the Caribbean.
1 October- International Day for Older Persons
This day highlights the important contributions that older people make to society and raise awareness of the issues and challenges of ageing in today’s world.
10 October- World Mental Health Day
Raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.
